Fifty Shades of Grey Casting Choice Update
We reported before that Ryan was one of the names mentioned by media outlets as one of the choices to be the lead in the movie adaption of “Fifty Shades of Grey“.
Now some new reports have surfaced that the husband of the author confirmed Ryan is the top choice.
As if Ryan Gosling could get any hotter, now comes word that the super-sexy actor might be up for his most sizzling role yet—Christian Grey!
According to reports, the husband of Fifty Shades of Grey author E. L. James is dishing that Gosling is in talks for the lead role in the upcoming big screen adaptation of the erotic novel.
Cue the swooning.
James’ hubby Niall Leonard tells the U.K.’s Now magazine that the “last he heard” Gosling is the No. 1 choice to play Christian Grey.
Reps for the 31-year-old Drive star did not immediately comment on the casting rumors, but we’re sure every lady around is saying, “Yes!” to this idea.

yes, so excited! when i was reading the book i immediately thought ryan would be such an amazing mr. grey…he has the looks but most importantly he’s a terrific actor. so proud of him!!!

I think either the authors husband misspoke or they think they can get him to do it by pulling a stunt like this.
I really hope he stays far away from this. He’s already tried so hard to separate himself from “Noah” and The Notebook and doing a movie based on Twilight fan fiction would just pull him right back in.

Their top choice, meaning they want him. Looking at his style and his choices there is NO WAY he’s touching this thing with a 10 ft. pole.

1st I can’t see how it would be made because itis built around sex
2nd No(he is ready to direct films…this is no)
3rd Ryan is on the track to Oscar and this would be a huge derail for him.

Heavens, NO! I have read many reviews of the books and they all coherently say this is trash, terribly written “literature”. I’d love to see Gosling in a role involving a subject as sex, but it would have to be “good quality” stuff such as Shame with Fassbender.

No way he’s going to do that.
Once he told he is doing only 2 movies a year, because of all the scripts he’s offered only 1 or 2 are great. Per year(!).
Also I think, now he’s big Hollywood game, he regrets he’s a superstar now, which came after Drive, The Ides etc. His comfort zone is indymovies with a goofy twist.
I’d prefer him in a Hollywood’ish’ remake of the Norwegian movie ‘Headhunters’ (MUST SEE by the way) or Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Anyway: Ryan only is going for an exceptional script, not for shades. Artisticly that is lucky, for womankind it’s a big sorry!
