Ryan has been nominated for an Independant Spirit Award for ‘Drive’ - Best Male Lead. The awards air tonight 10:00pm ET/PT on IFC (check your local listings) According to a recent tweet, it seems Ryan is in attendence at the show tonight. Nicolas has been nominated for Best Director - ‘Drive’ Gosling Fan wishes them the best of luck tonight, and we will update as news comes. Update: Ryan did not attend the awards after all, he is still in Thailand filming “Only God Forgives“. |

The Hollywood Reporter recently talked to Ryan during the opening ceremony of Hua Hin International Film Festival in Bankok. He talked about not getting an Oscar nomination, which he really, really should have gotten for “Drive“, Sexiest Man Alive and “Only God Forgives“.

As you may have noticed Ryan did not attend the Golden Globes last night (January 15) even though he was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama (The Ides of March) and Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical (Crazy, Stupid, Love). He didn’t win both awards, he lost them to George Clooney (The Descendants) and Jean Dujardin (The Artist). Ryan was seen last week catching a flight at LAX Airport and according to his “The Ides of March” co-star George Clooney he did indeed flew to Thailand.

The nominations for the 2012 Golden Globes were announced earlier today and Ryan is nominated for Best Actor Drama for “The Ides of March” and Best Actor Comedy for “Crazy, Stupid, Love” - we are so proud he got nominated! The winners will be announced January 15, 2012. Congratulations Ryan!
“The Ides of March” was also nominated for Best Picture, Drama, Best Director (George Clooney) and Best Screenplay. His “Drive” co-star Albert Brooks was nominated for Best Supporting actor. |
