The director of the future Wettest County was interviewed by The California Chronicle and gave some hints on the possible cast of his future film Wettest County.

Gosling, 29, has starred in numerous movies, including “The Notebook,” “The Believer” and “Lars and the Real Girl.”
“The Wettest County in the World,” however, is still far from getting to the screen. The project has languished for much of the past year and a half, with few updates appearing in Hollywood publications or film Web sites.
After mentioning LaBeouf and Gosling’s potential involvement during an interview with AtomicPopcorn.com, Hillcoat added, “I shouldn’t really talk about it cause it’s in the middle of all sorts of stuff.” He also said of the film’s prospects, “It’s really tough out there.” [...]

Apparently Ryan and Shia Labeouf are going to be together in John Hillcoat’s movie”Wettest County”. The film is about bootlegging brothers in Depression-era Virginia.
Ryan Gosling? Shia LaBeouf? John Hillcoat? Bootleggin’? Suddenly, THE WETTEST COUNTY IN THE WORLD is creeping its way up to the top of my most anticipated list. We knew Hillcoat was directing the film about bootlegging brothers in Depression-era Virginia. However, thanks to an interview with the director by our buddies over at Atomic Popcorn, we have some faces to go with those characters. Hillcoat, whether he was suppossed to reveal them or not, stated that Gosling and LaBeouf were attached.
