We added the first production stills, two poster and a promotional photo of “Gangster Squad” in our gallery. Warner Bros released the trailer last week and announced earlier this week that the movie will be released September 7, 2012. Thanks to my friend Aurore for sending me the stills.

Warner Bros moves “Gangster Squad” Release again

Deadline is reporting that “The Gangster Squad” will be released September 7, 2012. Warner Bros moved the date around before, but let’s hope they will keep this date!

Meanwhile, Ruben Fleischer’s LA period drama Gangster Squad starring Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin had moved around twice before, first set for October 19, 2012 before moving up a week to October 12 and now landing on September 7. That date also houses Summit’s The Cold Light Of Day and Oscilloscope’s Hello I Must Be Going.

MTV Movie Awards 2012 Nominations

The MTV Movie Awards nominations for this year were announced earlier this week and Ryan received 3 nominations this year! Ryan is nominated for Best Male Performance for “Drive” for which is also received a nomination for Best Gut-Wrenching Performance. He and Emma Stone are nominated for Best Kiss.

You can vote via MTV.com until June 2nd, and the award ceremony will be held in Los Angeles the next day.

New Possible Project “Focus” with Emma Stone?

Deadline is reporting that the “Crazy, Stupid, Love” team are currently working on a new movie called “Focus“, and they want Ryan and Emma Stone as the leads.

Glenn Ficarra and John Requa have made a Warner Bros deal to direct their script Focus, which will be produced by Denise DiNovi. She was a producer on the last comedy they made for the studio, Crazy, Stupid, Love.” I’m told they hope to draft that comedy’s leads, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone to play the lead roles, though studio insiders said it hasn’t gotten that far yet. Focus tells the story of a veteran conman who gets involved with a newcomer to the grifter business. They get involved romantically but that becomes perilous in a business where they lie and cheat for a living. The complications of the encounter haunt them when they meet up again in the future. Ficarra and Requa, who are repped by WME, wrote Bad Santa and wrote and directed I Love You, Phillip Morris.
