Ryan is nominated for the 2012 Spirit Awards for Best Male Lead for his role in “Drive“. His co-star Albert Brooks (Best supporting male), the director Nicolas Winding Refn (Best Director) and the movie itself (Best Feature) are also nominated for the awards.

The other Best Male leads are Demian Bichir (A Better Life), Jean Dujardin (The Artist), Woody Harrelson (Rampart) and Michael Shannon (Take Shelter). The award ceremony will be held on February 25, 2012. For more information go to the official website.

Ryan was photographed filming scenes for “The Gangster Squad” yesterday eve (November 29). Earlier that day he was seen rehearsing the scenes. We added over 70 high quality photos of him shooting the scene at night in our gallery.

Update: We added over 140 new images of Ryan on set of “The Gangster Squad” during the night shoot.

Ryan was seen arriving at Charles de Gaulle airport with Eva Mendes after spending a few days in Paris with Eva earlier today (November 27). Eva was in Paris to film her upcoming movie “Holy Motors“. We also added a lot more photos to the set of Ryan and Eva strolling in Paris including new ones of them at the Eiffel tower.

Ryan was seen visiting the set of “Holy Motors” in Paris (France) to visit his (rumored to be girlfriend) and “The Place Beyond the Pines” co-star Eva Mendes yesterday eve (November 25), a day later Eva and Ryan were seen strolling around in paris.

Ryan was spotted donning a smart pea coat and a right hand injury…while out with girlfriend and ‘Places Beyond The Pines’ co-star Eva Mendes.  Eva is in Paris filming  new movie.

Ryan and Eva were seen around a cemetary, he had his IPhone with him so maybe a new documentary is on its way!

Top 10 Things TIME Is Thankful for This Year: Ryan Gosling Is Alive

Hey girl, you’ve had quite the year. Ryan Gosling successfully cast aside The Notebook and his indie-flick past this year and proved himself as a deeply gifted actor and genetically blessed individual. His presence in Crazy, Stupid Love, Drive and Ides of March elevated the otherwise enjoyable films to unexpected levels of cinematic entertainment. For that, we’re thankful that 2011 will go down as the year of Ryan Gosling. Everywhere we looked, Gosling’s soulful, puppy-dog eyes stared back longingly, even from a fake TIME cover. Obvious talent aside, we’re thankful for Gosling’s quirkiness, his heroics, his general awesomeness and the memes he inspired. Heck, we’re even thankful he wasn’t named Sexiest Man Alive so that everyone could be indignant in their love for him and he could become a martyr for sexiness. Thank you, Ryan Gosling. Just, thank you.

We finally were able to finish our brand new layout – which was our ‘surprise’ birthday layout – since I recently got my macbook back. It’s made by me, Lindsey @ Twilight Designs Inc., and I used one of my favorite photoshoots of Ryan: his 2010 Interview Magazine shoot by Mikael Jansson.
